Police Mission Statement
The mission of the Tatamy Borough Police Department is to protect life and property, enforce the law in a fair and impartial manner, and preserve the peace, order, and safety of the community we serve.
We will act in partnership with the community in a pro-active manner to promote a responsive approach to quality of life issues.
We will strive to accomplish our mission in a professional, courteous and compassionate manner and will respect the constitutional rights of all men and women to liberty, equality and justice.
Statement
Welcome to the Tatamy Borough Police Department page. We are constantly striving to meet the changing needs of our residents and the community. The goal of this page is to be informative and interactive.

This department will continue to offer the Drug Take Back Program, sponsored by Northampton County. This program allows residents to properly dispose of expired, unused, or unwanted perscription drugs. Any on duty officer can accept medications for proper disposal.

The Drug Enforcement Adimistration and the Tatamy Police Department ask for your help with the misuse of perscription drugs. For more information on the newly established anonymous tip line please click HERE.
This department offers security checks for residents who will be on vacation or away for extended periods of time.

The police service in Tatamy Borough was established in 1894 when its first officer, H. Tilhgam Launderberger, was appointed Chief Burgess with an annual salary of one dollar.
We currently have four officers serving our community:
